9 questions
How do I search for a business on Find Knoxville?
Type what you need into the search box on the home page. You can search by business name, by what a business does, or by both at once.
Results can then be narrowed by city, county and category using the filters beside them.
How do I browse businesses by city?
Every city and town has its own page listing what is in it. Start from the directory page and pick a city, or use the city filter on any search.
How do I browse businesses by category?
The directory page lists every category. Each one has its own page, and most can be narrowed to a single city from there.
How do the ratings work?
A rating reflects how many people have reviewed a business and where they left those reviews, gathered into a single number rather than one score from one site.
Ratings cannot be bought and are not affected by whether a listing has been claimed.
Why do some listings not show opening hours?
Because we would rather show nothing than show the wrong thing. Hours are only published when they can be stated unambiguously.
Businesses with separate sales and service hours, seasonal hours, or appointment only schedules often cannot be expressed accurately, so those listings show no hours until the owner claims the page and sets them.
Why does a listing show no phone number or website?
Because we did not have one we were confident was correct. Anything we are not sure about is left off rather than guessed at.
If it is your business, claim the listing and add the right details in a couple of minutes.
Can I leave a review on Find Knoxville?
Find Knoxville gathers ratings rather than hosting its own review threads, so there is nowhere here to post a written review.
Each listing links out to the places a business is reviewed so you can read and leave reviews at the source.
Is the information on a listing guaranteed to be correct?
No directory can promise that. Details change, businesses close, and some listings have not been touched by their owner yet.
Claimed listings are the most reliable because the owner maintains them. If you spot something wrong, tell us.
Do I need an account to use Find Knoxville?
No. Searching and browsing need no account at all. An account is only needed to claim and manage a business listing.
